Getting There

Air Tanzania, Kenya Airways have scheduled flights linking Arusha with Dar es Salaam (in Tanzania), Nairobi (in Kenya). KLM at the same time offer scheduled flights from Europe into Arusha.

Visas

All visitors must have a visa and valid passport. Visas can be arranged on arrival at (Kilimanjaro Airport) in Arusha for US$ 50 (approx). Please check with your consulate for the most up-to-date information.

Currency

US$ Dollars are widely accepted. The local currency is the Tanzanian Shillings. Take cash and Travellers cheques, as few places accept credit cards.

Health

Yellow fever certificate compulsory. Malaria risk Visitors are advised to take anti-malaria tablets. Drink only purified or bottled water.

What to pack

For safaris light clothing during the day, Sturdy shoes and canvas hats. At night casual wear with a light cardigan. Insect repellent, camera, binoculars and sunglasses.
